Present Danger (1994)

I can’t say I’ve spent a lot of time
thinking about Clear and Present Danger. It’s a political thriller from 1994
that contains some of the nutty, right wing hysteria inherent in Tom Clancy
literature mixed with the nutty, paranoid worldview of screenwriter John
Milius. Mix in the political
conscience of Schindler’s List screenwriter Steve Zaillian and you have an
incredibly satisfying, if childish, cinematic iteration of our disastrous yet
action packed U.S. foreign policy.
I think that’s really all one can say. It's best to let the film speak for itself.
